In the Classroom
Outside the Classroom
TRAVEL: One of the greatest learning experiences I have had throughout my entire life outside of the classroom was traveling. Through travel you learn about new cultures, different ways of living, different environments around the world, and how to communicate and coexist with different types of people. Traveling has led to some of the most entertaining and fun experiences of my life as well. Ever since I moved to Costa Rica in kindergarten I have loved and learned from my travel experiences.
OUTDOORS: I am a lover of the outdoors, being outside helps calm me and allows me to focus my energy. I love mountain outdoor sports; they are the biggest driving factor of many of my outdoor experiences. Skiing is my all-time favorite way to enjoy outdoors in the winter season. I grew up Nordic skiing and alpine skiing and more recently, I picked up backcountry skiing as a winter past time. I also have greatly enjoyed mountain biking; I raced mountain bikes throughout high school and have since used it as a way of both staying fit and having fun. Skiing and biking both give me the elating feeling of flying as I speed down hills. Sports and outdoors help me do well in life and in work. I will need to learn to better balance my time to enjoy the outdoors and sports and to accel in workplace environments.
